Take my hand as we collect money for old cans” Fehler Kuti und die Polizei urge. In their stage show they scramble together music, theatre and theory. What emerges is a danceable, quasi-religious ritual that reveals the racist and capitalist power relations of a country in which there have never been equal rights and opportunities for all.
Die Polizei start playing. Frontman Fehler Kuti sings about the German need for security and policies of nativism and law and order: ranging from the transfiguration of the German forests, passing through deindustrialisation and the class struggle to the information society and racial profiling. Together they reveal the racist and capitalist power structures of a country which has never had the same rights and opportunities for everyone. Who are the police here – who enforces the prevailing order, who keeps it alive?

Lyssa is choreographer Lynne Page's first work for The Royal Ballet. Featuring 17 female Royal Ballet dancers and vocals by British singer and songwriter Nadine Shah, accompanied by the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, the film reveals the inner workings of the theatre and the artists and staff who bring live performance to the stage.
In Greek mythology, Lyssa is the goddess of anger and rage. The film weaves theatre craft, powerful vocals and emotive dance into a unique digital experience that celebrates the collective energy of forces for positive change in our modern world.

Pay What You Feel
Six strangers, weighed down by individual darkness, come to a coastal land. Seemingly abandoned, there is no one to help but themselves. Stuck between the remains of a broken community and the vast bleakness of the sea, they struggle with isolation, shame and failed support systems.
Gritty dance theatre, with autobiographical testimonials and text, this timely performance gives voice to the vulnerable and unheard. With tenderness and honesty, DROWNTOWN holds up a mirror to a society at tipping point.
