A hub for the Mystery Theatre Club which we host in Anfield,Liverpool.

Why etude?

A few years back, I spent time with a theatre company who, when developing performances, would create etudes. Etudes were small sketches of ideas presented to the rest of the company. This offered the chance to see and learn how the rest of the creative team expressed themselves and viewed the world. It was great watching theatre makers and performers create and through the whole process, you spent hours devouring performane. etude is an attempt at recreating this within a different conext. The plan is to send out performances I’ve found from thrawling through twitter and scampering around vimeo to give the chance to encounter countless hours of performance. Some will be contemporary, new work made by some of the most exciting emerging artists, others will be historic performances from around the globe. I look forward to sharing what I find! Either be it in person in Anfield as part of the Mystery Theatre Club or online via the listings.
